Was going well until I swallowed water. And then I did it again. And again.

Shot through the lane and left my competitors in the dust. Well, bubbles.

Event #3: 50-meter freestyle
Time: 37.27 seconds
Age Group Rank: 3 out of 3
I swam at top speed but someone next to me was faster! Grrr.

I beat my time from last year on this 5K run

My second-ever 5K race is done. I did this same race last year. I improved just a bit from last year, running at a 9:05 pace this year compared to 9:09 last year. Even though 9:05 isn't fast by any definition, it is still the fastest pace I've ever had. Yay! (Running is a new sport to me).

Bike portion of a USAT sprint triathlon; I was on a team. I completed the segment 5 minutes faster than expected. I've never had a faster pace (17.1 mph). Yay!!!
